A Town Board meeting of the Town of Marion, Wayne County, NY was held on Monday, October 2, 2023 at the Marion Municipal Room.
Supervisor Bender called the meeting to order at 6:30 pm with a roll call done by Heidi Levan, Clerk of the Board.

Discussion:
- Budget
The Marion Town Board discussed the budget.

Resolutions:
- Award Contract to High Expectations Construction and Landscaping to Repair Siding on the Back of the Marion Court Building
- Award Contract to Airtight Services, Inc. to Install insulation on the Back of the Marion Court Building
- Amend Resolution #510-23 Award Contract to Shores Edge Electric to Complete the Electric Upgrades needed to Renovate the Kitchen at the Town Park
- Payment of Claims
Resolution #1001-23 Award Contract to High Expectations Construction and Landscaping to Repair Siding on the Back of the Marion Court Building
On a motion by Councilman Cramer and seconded by Councilwoman Herman
ADOPTED: Ayes: 5 Lonneville, Herman, Cramer, Bliek, Bender

The following resolution was adopted
WHEREAS, the Town of Marion sent out an RFP to repair siding on the back of the Marion Court Building; and
WHEREAS, the Town of Marion received 1 bid; and
BE IT RESOLVED, that the Marion Town Board awards the contract to High Expectations Construction and Landscaping with an amount not to exceed $13,971.87 to be expensed out of 16204.01.000.050 – Building Renovations; and.
BE IT RESOLVED, that the Marion Town Board directs the Clerk of the Board to give a copy of this resolution to High Expectations Construction and Landscaping and the Principal Account Clerk.
Resolution #1002-23 Award Contract to Airtight Services, Inc. to Install Insulation on the back of the Marion Court Building
On a motion by Councilman Cramer and seconded by Councilwoman Herman
ADOPTED: Ayes: 5 Lonneville, Herman, Cramer, Bliek, Bender

The following resolution was adopted
WHEREAS, the Marion Town Board needs to repair the Siding on the back of the Marion Town Court and;
WHEREAS, the insulation needs to be replaced and;
WHEREAS, according to the Town of Marion Procurement Policy
Guideline 3. All estimated purchases of:
-) Less than $1,000 but greater than $250 are left to the discretion of the purchase and;
WHEREAS, the estimate is $875, and only one estimate is required, the Town of Marion awards the insulation install to Airtight Services, Inc. and;
BE IT RESOLVED, that the Marion Town Board directs the Clerk of the Board to give a copy of this resolution to Airtight Services, Inc. and the Principal Account Clerk.
Resolution #1003-23 Amend Resolution #510-23 Award Contract to Shores Edge Electric to Complete the Electric Upgrades needed to Renovate the Kitchen at the Town Park
On a motion by Councilman Cramer and seconded by Councilwoman Herman
ADOPTED: Ayes: 5 Lonneville, Herman, Cramer, Bliek, Bender

The following resolution was adopted
WHEREAS, the Town of Marion sent out an RFP to obtain bids to renovate the kitchen at the Town Park; and
WHEREAS, the Town of Marion received 2 bids; and
BE IT RESOLVED, due to material price increase that the Marion Town Board amends the contract to Shores Edge Electric, to complete the electric upgrades needed to renovate the kitchen at the Town Park with an increased amount of $1,113.00 for a total amount not to exceed $4,978 to be expensed from park reserve funds; and.
BE IT RESOLVED, that the Marion Town Board directs the Clerk of the Board to give a copy of this resolution to Shores Edge Electric and the Principal Account Clerk.
Resolution #1004-23 Payment of Claims
On a motion by Councilman Cramer and seconded by Councilwoman Herman

The following resolution was adopted
WHEREAS, the Marion Town Board has received and audited the following claims: now
BE IT RESOLVED, that the Supervisor is hereby authorized to pay said claims upon receipt of the signed abstracts of audited claims from the Town Clerk.

Resolution #1005-23 Upgrade Town Park Cameras
On a motion by Councilman Cramer and seconded by Councilwoman Herman
ADOPTED: Ayes: 5 Lonneville, Herman, Cramer, Bliek, Bender
Nays: 0
The following resolution was adopted
WHEREAS, the Town of Marion sent out an RFP to obtain bids to upgrade the camera security system at the Town Park; and
WHEREAS, the Town of Marion received 1 bid; and
BE IT RESOLVED, that the Marion Town Board awards the bid to Superior Security Solutions, to upgrade the security cameras at the Town Park to bullet camera’s exceed $2,100 to be expensed from park reserve funds; and.
BE IT RESOLVED, that the Marion Town Board directs the Clerk of the Board to give a copy of this resolution to Superior Security Solutions and the Principal Account Clerk.
Executive Session
Additional Citizen Comments- none
The Board went into executive session to discuss the employment history of a particular person on a motion by Councilman Bliek and seconded by Councilman Cramer at 6:50 pm.
With no further business, on a motion by Councilwoman Herman and seconded by Councilman Cramer, Supervisor Bender closed the meeting at 7:15pm.
