A Town Board meeting of the Town of Marion, Wayne County, NY was held on
Monday, April 3, 2023 at the Marion Municipal Room
Supervisor Bender called the meeting to order at 6:30pm with a roll call done by Heidi Levan, Clerk of the Board.
PRESENT: LaVerne Bliek, Councilman
Julie Herman, Councilwoman
Ronald Lonneville, Councilman
Michael Cramer, Councilman
Absent: Jolene Bender, Supervisor
IN PERSON ATTENDANCE: Samantha Starks, Justin Starks,
Supervisor Bender asked everyone to stand and give the Pledge of Allegiance.
Discussion:
Public Hearing opened at 6:35pm. The Town Board waived the reading of the notice. A discussion took place regarding upgrades the Town Board would like to have done at the Town Park. A decision was made to send out Request For Proposals (RFP’s) for work to be done. Another public hearing will need to be held once all bids have been acquired. After asking attendees three times if they had more questions, the public hearing was closed at 6:51pm on a motion from Councilwoman Herman and seconded by Councilman Lonneville.
The Town Board next continued to discuss the employee handbook.

Resolution #401-23 Authorize use of Marion Town Park Reserve Funds to Upgrade the Kitchen at the Town Park
On a motion by Councilman Lonnevile and seconded by Councilman Cramer
ADOPTED: Ayes: 5 Bender, Lonneville, Herman, Cramer, Bliek

The following resolution was adopted
WHEREAS, the Town of Marion held a public hearing for the appropriation of Marion Town Park reserve funds to upgrade the kitchen in Pavilion A and upgrade Pavilion D at the Marion Town Park; and
BE IT RESOLVED, the Marion Town Board the Town Board authorizes Ronald Lonneville to send out RFP’s; and
BE IT RESOLVED, that the Marion Town Board directs the Clerk of the Board to give a copy of this resolution to Ronald Lonneville, Code Officer and the Principal Account Clerk.

On a motion by Councilman Lonneville and seconded by Councilman Cramer
ADOPTED: Ayes: 5 Bender, Lonneville, Herman, Cramer, Bliek

The following resolution was adopted
WHEREAS, the Marion Town Board has received and audited the following claims: now
BE IT RESOLVED, that the Supervisor is hereby authorized to pay said claims upon receipt of the signed abstracts of audited claims from the Town Clerk.

With no further business, on a motion by Councilwoman Herman and seconded by Councilman Cramer, Supervisor Bender closed the meeting at 8:15pm.
