A Town Board meeting of the Town of Marion, Wayne County, NY was held on Monday, August 12, 2024 at the Marion Court Room.
Supervisor Johnson called the meeting to order at 6:30pm and asked the Clerk of the Board to give a roll call.

BE IT RESOLVED, that the Marion Town Board will set a Public Hearing for the Approval of a Cable Television Agreement between Spectrum Northeast LLC and the Town of Marion for September 9th, 2024 at 6:30PM; and
BE IT RESOLVED, that the Marion Town Board directs the Clerk of the Board to give a copy of this resolution to the Principal Account Clerk.

BE IT RESOLVED, that the Marion Town Board authorizes the Supervisor to sign the 2024 Inter-Municipal Agreement with Marion Central School District – Tax Collection; and
BE IT RESOLVED, that the Marion Town Board directs the Clerk of the Board to give a copy of this resolution to the Marion Central School District and Principal Account Clerk.

BE IT RESOLVED, that the Marion Town Board will Amend ‘Resolution #7082024 Appoint Lucas Keith, MD as Health Officer’ to remove the Dollar Amount listed and to fix the formatting of the document; and
BE IT RESOLVED, that the Marion Town Board directs the Clerk of the Board to give a copy of this resolution to the Principal Account Clerk.

RESOLVED that the Town Board does hereby establish the following amounts to represent the petty cash funds for the Town:

BE IT RESOLVED that the above funds to be audited randomly, but at least quarterly, by the Supervisor or designee; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Marion Town Board directs the Clerk of the Board to give a copy of this resolution to the Town Clerk, Principal Account Clerk and Town Supervisor.
Resolution #8072024 Adopt Policy & Procedures for Cash Drawer & Petty Cash

RESOLVED that the Town Board does hereby adopt the Policy & Procedures for Cash Drawer & Petty Cash; and
BE IT RESOLVED that the above Policy & Procedure will be on file at the Town Clerk’s office and will be added to the Town of Marion Policy guidelines; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Marion Town Board directs the Clerk of the Board to give a copy of this resolution to the Town Clerk, Principal Account Clerk and Town Supervisor.
Resolution # 8082024 Award Contract to Complete Drainage Work on Cory Corners and Goosen Roads

WHEREAS, the drainage work needs to be done on Cory Corners and Goosen Roads; and
BE IT RESOLVED, that the Marion Town Board awards the contract to K.M. Excavating to complete drainage work on Cory Corners and Goosen Roads; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Marion Town Board awards the bid to K.M. Excavating with an amount not to exceed $9,800 to be expensed as follows:

BE IT RESOLVED, that the Marion Town Board directs the Clerk of the Board to give a copy of this resolution to the Drainage Committee, K.M. Excavating and the Principal Account Clerk.
Resolution #8092024 Set a Public Hearing to Utilize Contingency Funds to replace the Window at the Museum

WHEREAS, an old window is in in disrepair at the Museum and needs to be replaced; and
BE IT RESOLVED, that the Marion Town Board sets a public hearing to utilize contingency funds for September 9, 2024 @ 6:30; and
BE IT RESOLVED, that the Marion Town Board directs the Clerk of the Board to give a copy of this resolution to the Principal Account Clerk.

Resolution #8112024 Fall Festival Road Closure

The following resolution was adopted
BE IT RESOLVED, that the Marion Town Board hereby requests the following streets to be fully closed to all traffic on Saturday September 07, 2024 from 7 a.m. – 6 p.m.
North Main Street from the South side of the Elementary School driveway
Buffalo Street across from the Town Hall
South Main Street, North of Mill Street
Maple Ave from the Marion Library to Main Street.
BE IT RESOLVED, that the Marion Town Board hereby request the following streets to be closed but open to local and festival traffic only on Saturday September 07, 2024 from 7 a.m. – 6 p.m.
Buffalo Street at Route 21
Maple Ave at Union Street
Sunset Drive to Union Street
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Marion Town Board directs the Clerk of the Board to send a copy of this resolution to E911, Marion Fire Department, Western Wayne Ambulance, Marion Fire District, Nutall Golf Cart and Storage, Marion Post Office, Wayne County Highway Department, Wayne County Sheriff, NYS Police Substation, Williamson, Chief Operator WWTP, Marion School District Bus Garage, Marion Highway Department, and Marion Library.
Additional Citizen Comments:
Four different individuals spoke during the citizen comments section of the Town Board meeting.
With no further business, on a motion by Councilman Lonneville and seconded by Councilman Cramer, Supervisor Johnson closed the meeting at 7:20pm.
